The Interview
I had an interview today with Avis. A car rental company. I got the phone call late last night. Around 10 actually. I was told to go to Airport Road by the airport. Now in my head, that sounded like Water Street for some God awful stupid reason. I had passed my resume into an Avis office downtown. I showed up there for my interview today. The guy at the desk, who's name I didn't get, called the "big boss" and told him that I was there. So Rod told buddy to do an interview with me. He said that it wouldn't take long, maybe about 20 minutes. Well, the 20 minute interview turned into a 45 minute interview. Nonetheless, it went good. I went out to the bus stop, and had about 25 mins to wait for a bus. So I sat on the bench and waited. Only a few minutes later, a bus stopped across the street, I was trying to see what number it was before I darted across the street. It was the number 5, the one I was wating for, it took off before I could cross. Then 3:05 was the next bus. That one was across the street too, but it didn't stop that time as no one was waiting for a bus on that side of the road. Well, I wanted to cry. Poor ol' Lesley was wating here all day for me so that we could go to Stavanger Drive. Anyway, 3:25 a number 5 bus finally shows up on my side of the road. Of course, my side of the road, the bus was going to go to the Village then turn around and come my way home. At 4ish this afternoon I finally gets home. The guy who interviewed me, said that Rod will want to see me, either later on today or tomorrow morning. It's too late in the day now, so I guess he will call me tomorrow morning, or not at all. I'd say he will call me.
Now the present that I was talking about in yesterdays post was.....A medical terminology book!!!!! How exciting is that??? I was amazed. It's deffinately something that I wouldn't have guessed. This is something that I desperately need. I was so surprised and happy and so thankful for it.
Guess what else??? My mom is coming in tomorrow. My aunt Renee is driving in here for the weekend tomorrow to visit one of her friends and mom is going to get a ride with her. I'm so excited, and a little nervous. Oh my I can't wait. What a busy weekend we're going to have. I mean with the George Street festival, oh yeah, and Perry and Robyn are coming in tomorrow too!!!! Les and I have to go and see Jamie down to the Zone on Sunday night. I think he will be dressing as Cher. I can't wait to see it. I've got my camera all ready.
Well as soon as Sheldon gets home and gets some supper, (a salad), all three of us are going to Stavanger. It may be two yet, depends on if Sheldon isn't too tired after all day.
Anyway, thats all the news. Oh one more thing, James' girlfriend is not pregnant. He said he was disappointed but they are going to try for one now.
Take care everyone.

The Movies
I went to see the Bad News Bears this afternoon. It was two hours long. This movie is funny, and has a lot of cursing in it. They kids cursed more then me for fuck sakes. Hee hee. I figured the ending would be typical, but it wasn't. It was a good movie, and worth the $7.50 to get in. The guy who sold me the ticket asked me if I was going in myself, I told him yes, he told me thats ok then because there's a lot of "offensive language" in it. Oh man, he wasn't kidding. LOL. Every swear word was said except for Fuck. All in all, it was a good movie.
I forgot to mention in my last post, when I went to the mall yesterday, I saw "hacky mchack" sitting at one of the tables eating a slice of pizza. He said he was getting some breakfast before he went to work. He had some pizza sauce on the side of his big fat face, but I sure as hell wasn't going to tell him about it. We started talking small talk, and he was looking at my face, but that quickly changed after he squirmed around in his chair a bit, then his gaze was directly at my tits for the rest of the entire conversation. I'm used to that when talking to him. He makes me feel very uncomfortable, but I'm too damn nice for my own good. If it was a cute guy, then I would probably have found it funny. LOL This guy is a real perv, he's always tring to sleep with everyone except his wife. Asshole!
Anyway, enough about that.
I'm glad I went to the movies today. I haven't done that in a very long time. Go to a movie by myslef is what I mean. Sheldon and I are going to see a movie, as usual on Sunday. I can't wait. Oh, something else too. Sheldon had ordered something for me a few weeks ago. He said that its not for a special occasion, he just got it on a whim. I can't open it until he gets home from work. I think its a book, judging by the size and shape of the package. :-D I wonder what it is??? Oh I'm so exicted. Sheldon gets off of work at 6:30, I'm going to walk up and meet him again today. He has to pick up a few groceries after work. I had a lend of his air miles card this morning when I picked up mine. I have my own card, but theres hardly a thing on it. Sheldons has more so I'd rather use his and give him the points. I don't shop there as much as he does. He hasn't got much to pick up either, I got most of it this morning.
Lesley just sent me some really cool emotiocons. Phillis is going to love them. Hahaha
So Lesley is waiting to hear if shes having company this weekend, and I'm waiting to see if my mother is coming in for sure or not. I doubt that she will, but it would be awesome if she did. I'll know as soon as she knows she tells me.
That's it for now. Take care.

A Downtown Morning
I have discovered that I love downtown in the morning. I went down there very early this morning. I got there about quarter to nine. Right before businesses start to open, and I quickly learned that most places there don't even open until 10 or 10:30. Most of those were stores, and that's not what I was interested in today. I was all dressed up to pass out resumes. I have five left out of 30ish. I went to most law offices on all kinds of streets, I also passed in a resume to Mile 1 Stadium and CBC Radio. There's not much traffic on the go and less people on the streets. Only one homeless lady asked me for a quarter, I honestly didn't have one. I had just enough for bus fare.
The bums are the main reason why I don't go down there by myself more often. I love downtown so much, but they scare me. I'm seriously terrified of homeless people. I was more afraid of being mugged this morning then the bums. I told Sheldon that this morning before I left and he said its too early for that. LOL. Probably true. Plus there was a policeman there walking the streets giving people parking tickets. I thought that was cool. I felt much safer knowing he was there.
When I first got there, I didn't really know where I should go first, so after doing a few circles in a spot. I just started to follow people wearing business suits. A few of them went into the big court house, but there was a sign on the door that said staff only. Eventually, I found my way and after I climbed a few hills and went up a few streets, I found myself on the other side of the court house and the door was wide open back there. So I decided to walk on in. What an old and big space that place is. There's not much furniture at all, just mostly floor. There was a security desk that I saw on the way out. I didn't notice it on the way in, because there was no one sitting there. When you get past that desk and your 'in the building' there's mostly just a hug stair case taking you to the next floor. Its beautiful. And there's and elevator in it. Its for wheelchair access only. Everything looks very old inside. Almost castle like I suppose you could say. Definitely not from this century. As I was walking out, like I mentioned before, there was a security guard sitting at the desk, and he kind of took a double take at me, I think he was a little surprised that I was there, since I wasn't a lawyer or anything. Once you climb the stairs there's just doors to different court rooms. I should have stayed in there longer, but as I was going down the stairs there were two other people climbing up and they were looking at me very strangely, I bet they were wondering what the frig I was doing there. I saw a few more lawyers today, they seem boring and dry. Except for one fella who was very loud and in a rush. I gave him my resume and he said Jennifer is it? I said yes. Then he went on about his story that he was telling as I walked in the door. He was telling it to the two secretaries whose desk's were piled high with file folders stuffed with white and yellow paper. I'd love to do that job. I love paper. Hee hee.
I hopped on Route 3, went to the Avalon mall to pass out a resume to the dental office there. Then 11:30 I caught the Route 4 and came home.
I'm trying to figure out what I can make for me dinner and I have some sheets in the wash now. I love hanging stuff out on the line. It smells so fresh when its all dried.

That's it for now. Take care.

Back to Work
After four lovely days of being away from that dreadful place, I feel well rested, and ready for bullshit situation after bullshit situation. At least the girls at work are not off this weekend, so I won't have to sit by myself again. Sheldon is off this weekend, I wish I was off with him. We'll have a weekend off next weekend. Lesley's off then too. That may be a good time for another yard sale. Who knows. Sheldon brought the idea up to me yesterday, I said it would be a good idea but you have to ask Lesley first.
I got a nice bit of house work done the week. I managed to get all the floors swept, the rug in the livingroom vaccummed, the rug in the porch, and I shook out the mat in the back porch, what a mess came off that. I did all my mine and Sheldons laundry, cleaned up our room, emailed a few resumes, and did some dishes. Normal stuff. I cleaned the bathroom on Sunday. I don't know what the hell I'm rambling on about here.
Sheldon had he day off yesterday. He and I got up early, cooked breakfast and then headed off to the movies. We went to see "Charlie and the Chocolet Factory." It was a good movie. It was very cute and colourful. They changed the ending too, it was all very good.
Then we went to Stavanger Drive. Sheldon bought some new clothes and got his perscriptions filled. We didn't make it to Michael's, which is where I wanted to go. I wanted to make the bus instead. I was really tired when we got home. My feet were killing me, that's what I get for wearing sandals instead of sneakers. I stayed in the bed mostly after that.
Well I must go now and straighten my hair. Take care.

Mmmmmm Coffee
I'm ready for work again. I've just finished straightening my hair and my coffee is almost gone. All I have left to do is brush my teeth. I may ware my sun glasses on the way to work this morning, the sun seems to be blasin' out there.
I had anohter hard time getting up out of bed again this morning. Before the alarm could go off for the third time, I woke myself up talking in my slep. I was saything something about how a pair of jeans were hung up. I remember I could see it, but couldn't really say it. I was trying to say to whoever that they were hung by the loop on a hook. LOL whatever.
I forgot to mention about some of my crazy dreams I had a couple days ago. This first started off with me living in one of those condos close by, that I didn't even know existed until Sheldon and I went for an extra long walk one night. Anyway, I was walking out of the elevator in the lobby area and Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Keith Moon crossed my path. The Rolling Stones, I couldn't believe it. I was freaking out. Mick saw the very intense, surprised look on my face, so he and the rest of the guys decided to come over and talk to me. I don't know what was said, but I was laughing at it. I remember that. Then I just had to call my mother. She didn't believe me when I told her. I passed the phone around to all the guys and nope, she thought that I was pulling a prank on her. I felt very frustrated that she didn't believe me, but then I was like, who cares, I'm the one standing next them.
The next one I had was about Justin Timberlake. Long story short he kissed me on the cheek and I was bragging about it to all the girls in the pool the next day. Hahahaha How funny is that shit?
Gotta go now. Take care.

Hot in her'
So I guess buying a new kettle is on the things to buy list next week when I can finally get to Wal-Mart. I might as well go Tuesday. I'm off that day and I have a doctor's appointment early that morning. I think it's this Tuesday. I hope it's not next Tuesday.
It is some shockin' warm in this house this morning. But it's only in certain rooms. Mine and Sheldon's and this spareroom. I guess it must be because of the computer. I just had to turn the fan on me. I'm waiting for my straightner to heat up. I'm running a little late here today. First thing, I didn't get out of bed until 6:25. I, or rather Sheldon, hit snooze too many times for me. Then I had to finish up a few dishes from last nights supper. I could have waited until after work, but there was only a few there, and I have sweeping and cleaning the bathroom to do, when I get home from work today.
I'm looking forward to Lesley coming home, that's for sure. That's it for me. I gotta do my hair now. Take care.

Take da Kettle b'y
Apparently, here in town, there is a man knocking on peoples doors, posing as a vaccum salesmen offering you some deal with the vaccum that you already own. When you give him your vaccum he takes off with it. He steals your vaccum cleaner. Can you believe that shit? I spose anything is possible. Lesley said that I should give him our broken kettle to take it off our hands. LOL. This morning I went to plug the fucker in and it sparked at me and made a big bang. Scared the bejesus out of me, needless to say, I wasn't in the mood for coffee anymore.
My aunt Renee came home again. Her and mom were out until 4 in the morning the other day. I was so glad that mom got the chance to do that. A girls night out, which is something mom NEVER has. My dad wasn't too impressed, but mom was like fuck dat. God love her.
Oh yeah and I was talking to James over at Irving this morning on my way to work, and he and his girlfriend, Jenn, may be expecting a baby. He said they haven't had a test done yet, but he tells me that shes been having some morning sickness lately. They already have names picked out, and they are very excited about it. He told me the names, they are nice, but I can't remember them now.
I said the word "crap" on the phone with a customer today. I was telling him my kettle story. He had a good laugh. I got him online too. I hope I wasn't being monitored. Anyway, take care all.

Busy Days
I have been off for the last three days and I haven't stopped. I'm back to work today though. Sheldon had Thursday off, we went everything it feels like. We went to Stavanger Drive. The first stop was Dominion to see if they could develop my 110 film. They could not and recommended we try the Dominion on Newfoundland Drive. Crossing the parkinglot, Sheldon wanted to stop at pet city. I love the puppy dogs in there, and it breaks my heart to see them all cooped behind the plastic glass. Poor things. After Pet City, we went to Wal-Mart. I had a bunch of pictures loaded onto a floppy disk that I needed to print off. That took about an hour. There was a misses in front of me with three memory cards. Holy crap! I believe the next place we went was Pizza Delight. Hands down, they have the best Chesse Garlic Fingers Sheldon and I have ever tasted. Then we went to CostCo where I bought a big tub of sour keys, Sheldon got a bag of Jelly Bellies, and I bought a pack of nanimo bars. Mmmmmmm delish! I have no idea how to spell it or say that word, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Oh yes and they couldn't develop my 110 film there either. We had a bit of time to kill before the bust came, so next we went to Michaels. I didn't buy any fuzzy posters, but Sheldon did by some clay so he could show a friend of his from work what to do with it. There was still time left over for the bus when we walked out of there, so we sat on the step infront of the bus shelter eating sour keys and Jelly Bellies. What a toof ache I had. As soon as we got home I brushed my teeth real good. Our next stop before we went home was Dominion on Newfoundland Drive. Sheldon and I had to pick up our groceries, we didn't get very much. We called and cab and went home. After putting the groceries away, I remembered that we forgot to ask if they develop 110 film. Well after all bloody day, I forgot them in the end. Sheldon and I lid down for about a half hour or so, then we got up and moed the lawn. It had to be done. We were pretty exausted after that. I had a nap while Sheldon was here on the computer.
Yesterday I went back up to Stavanger Drive. I had just a few more pictures that I wanted to print off. I also had my hair cut while I was there, oh yes, I stopped into the dollar store up by work while I was waiting for the route 10 to bring me to Stavanger. I went to Dominion on NL Drive and they do develop 110 film. Well I was very releaved. She said it will take about two days and they don't send it away. I walked home, went to mail boxes ect., did laundry, cleaned the floors, I forgot to clean the bathroom, and started and finished making a little something for Sheldon for our anniversary next month. I can't wait to show Lesley once she gets home.
That's it for me, I have to go bush my teeth now and leave for work. Take care everyone.

Warm and Sticky
The humidity is wicked here today. I was out walking around this morning on Stavanger Drive in jeans an a black tshirt. The sun is trying to break out, but its very very sticky outside. I went to Wal-Mart this morning to gt my 110 flim developed. Hahaha those are rare now eh? The lady at the photo lab said they don't develop them anymore. She said she could send it away, but that would take three weeks, and the company who would be able to develop them, would charge me 3.95 to receive the film then 92 cents per picture. She told me I could try CostCo or Dominion. Sheldon and I had plans to go to CostCo tomorrow, so I'll do it then. While I was at Wal-Mart today, I bought two new bras. Two white ones. one does up in the front, and the other is just like what I have now. I also went to Michaels and bought another fuzzy picture. Those are so addictive, I just have to have more, more, more fuzzy pictures!! Hee.
I come on home out of it, I checked Job bank and now jobs of course. I don't feel like walking in this weather today to pass out more resumes, so I just finished writing a big email to a lady I worked with at the Library back home and I sent her a bunch of pictures. And I finally have Debbie's Christmas gift. hahaha. Thats some shockin'. But I got it yesterday. Janice's is still here too. I never did send it. LOL. I'll have to the addresses from these people later on so I can send these presents tomorrow. LOL.
Sheldon bought some really good pork chops the other day, so we are going to have a bar b que tomorrow, hopefully.
Oh yeah, I got new glasses yesterday. Two pairs. One of them are prescription sunglasses. And the are rose coloured!!!! So I guess now I really do see the world through rose coloured glasses. Hahaha. If anyone knows this song, they will get it. Thats it for me for now. Take care everyone.

Early morning
It's too early in the morning to be on this. But what else am I going to do while I wait for my hair straightener to heat up? I am sipping on some good coffee rigt now. I had some weird dreams this morning I tell ya. I just woke up from what feels like one big long one. I can't remember what happened really, just who was there. I know that Mr. Dressup, Casey, and Finnygen was there. Hahaha you didn't expect me to say those people did ya? Ha. My cousin Brian and his daughter, mom, dad, and Jeffrey. Lesley, Mike and Sheldon. Tammy, Debbie, Dave and Jamie. There were some extras in the background that were blurry. The last thing I remember about the dream, is I was talking to Sheldon on the phone, he was at work and calling me on one of his breaks. I remember feeling that I missed him a lot and couldn't wait for him to get home. Then we hung up the phone with eachother, and thats when I opened my eyes and saw Sheldon in the bed with me and I was thinking, 'Did he really call me?' Then it went through my mind, 'could he be at work and still here in the bed with me?' Hahaha I bet you're laughing now. Then I guess I woke up and got my senses back and thought 'no you're dreaming. Sheldon is right here.' Ha weird or what? I went back to sleep and shortly afterward the stupid alarm clock went off. I hit snooze and the darn thing went off again 9 minutes later. LOL. OH well, I'm off tomorrow. Oh yeah, and I finally got my GST check. Lesley and Sheldon got theirs on Thursday and I never, so right away I called Student Loans and had asked if they took it, they said no because I'm still on Interest Relief. Friday came and went and I still didn't have any GST. Mike was off yesterday, when I got out of work, I called him and asked if my GST come in the mail today, he said yes, it's on the table. I was very happy about that. Well thats it for me this morning. I have to pack my lunch now and brush my teeth. I'll be leaving soon to walk to work. It seems very dark and cloudy out this morning. Almost spooky looking outside. Oh well, I still gotta go. Take care everyone.

A Wonderful Weekend
These past three days have been just wonderful. Sheldon and I were off together. On Friday, Sheldon had a doctors appointment early in the morning, that went fine, and I had an Ultrasound appointment at the Janeway around 10:30 am. The woman who was doing the test said that everything looked fine to her. That was good to hear. We caught the number 3 outside the hospital and went to the mall. We walked around there for a bit, then decided to see a movie. We saw Dark Water. What a crapy movie that was. If you're looking to get scared then don't rent this movie, it's not scary at all. The previews looked great, that's because all the "scary" parts were it. Nothing really happens. There's a little bit of drama at the end but thats about the part of the movie that will make your heart pump a little faster. But the pretzels were excellent! We didn't do much after that, went for a walk and hung out around the house a bit.
On Saturday, we were up early and got ready to go to "The Rooms". Very, very interesting place. Well worth the five dollars to get in. The place is huge, and the view is breathtaking. Sheldon and I have lots of pictures taken of the view, LOL, we weren't allowed to take any of the exibits because we didn't know how to turn the flash off on the cameras. After The Rooms, we went to Tim's to get a bite to eat, then we caught the bus and went to the mall again. Sheldon bought a birthday card for his father, and we went into CD Plus so he could "price something" he said. I wonder if this item is for me? Hee hee hee. From the mall, we went home. Sheldon got into one of his cleaning moods and wanted to mop the floors, so I swept them for him. He also did a bit of dusting afterwards.
On Sunday, surprise, surprise, we went to see another movie. This time we went to see Bewitched. This was a good movie. It was very cutsy, and it was funny. It was the first somewhat "serious" role that I've seen Will Farrel play. It was good. We didn't do much when we came home, just had supper and did some laundry.
So now it's back to big bad Convergys today for the both of us. It's just about time for me to leave, so I must end this now. Take care all.
