Work! Work! Work!
We are having a clearance sale at work for the past two weeks and its going to end on April 6th. Everyday is worse then Chirstmas. It's wicked, wicked, busy. There's always at least 4 or 5 of us on at a time. Now it is anyway. When it first started there was only 3 on. That just wasn't enough to cover it. So when an extra body is needed, who do they call, good 'ol dependable Jenn. I haven't had a day off since I don't know when. Yesterday was my only day off for this week, and I was called in for 5:30 - 10:30. I could have said no, but there was seriously no one to cover it. We've got 3 girls on from LaSenza for the next couple of days plus ours. I saw the schedule for next week and there are no days booked off for me at all. The store is going to be closed down for a month for renivations, during that month the full time people are supposed to be shipped somewhere. No one knows yet, Wanda just hasn't had to time to sit down with each one of us and go over the details. I don't know whats going to happen. I'm thankful for the hours though, I'm just exhausted is all. I've got 49 hours put in this week. And any hours worked over 40 is time and a half. This week and last week (31 hours) is going to be on my next pay check. It's going to be a good pay. I'll have name brand name cheese whiz next week buddy!
I was at work from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm today. I'm doing laundry right now. I swiffered and put away a few dishes that Sheldon had washed this morning before he went to work.
Sheldon is off tomorrow, I'm working from 5:30-10:30. You wait and see, I'll be called in for 1:30, thats what's been happening for the longest time now. I hope that when April 6th is over with that I have at least a day or two off before I start the next thing, what ever that is.

I was talking to my brother, Jeffrey, online tonight, and he sent me a video of him and another girl having a skipping contest at a bar in Grand Falls called Mingals. I'm not sure how to spell that. But I know that it's not spelt Mingles, or maybe it is. Anyway, Jeff said that some girl had taken it on her digital camera. It's so cool. Now I can see Jeff when ever I want! He didn't win the contest though. The first time he got caught up in the rope was because his pants were coming down. He stopped to pull them up, and started again, and he was skipping, and skipping, the announcer was all like oh he's a real Rockie Bow Bowa. I guess that's spelt correctly. Y'all know what I'm trying to say anyways. He got caught up in the rope a second time and gave up. It was fun to watch. Jeff told me that he was loaded doing that. He did pretty good for someone loaded I tell ya.

That's it for me tonight. I got to get back to my laundry. Survivor tonight baby!
Take care everyone.

The news report
According to the news there were four people involved, two guys, two girls. One pair was husband and wife, it was not specified the relationship of the other two. The only survivor was the brother of the husband. The girl traveling with him was 18 years old and her body was the only one found so far. A fella from the search and rescue team doesn't feel confident that the other two bodies will be found due to the current and the fact that the body of water is next to the ocean. So I'm guessing that he, like everyone else I suppose, assumes that they haven't found them so far probably because they have drifted on out in the ocean. The ocean! The fuckin' ocean! Can you believe this shit. They are still out there. Mom and I were saying its all bad enough that they died but to not have a body just makes it worse. The husband and wife had no children I found out, but they were trying. That's it for now.

Search Continues for SnowmobilersMarch 20, 2006

The search continues today in central Newfoundland for two snowmobilers who went through the ice near Peterview. RCMP say four people headed out Saturday night on three snowmobiles, but only one person survived the ordeal. The body of an 18 year old woman from the Peterview area was located, but the bodies of a husband and wife from the Bishop's Falls region have yet to be recovered. Corporal Rick Grant says they hope an RCMP dive team can get into the water today. He says the dive team needs a steady platform to operate from so they have asked for a hovercraft to assist in the effort. Grant says crowds of onlookers headed to the area yesterday which upset the families and hampered search efforts.

The wife that is still missing was a friend of mine. They are still not releasing their names on the news yet, so I don't feel right by saying who there are here. Mom called me and told me yesterday. I'm still in shock. I can't believe she's dead. Shes about a year or two younger then me. We've known eachother since Helen Tulk Elemtary school. I won her brothers' hockey jersey from Inglis. I had him sign it. I don't know if she had any children. I hope not. It would be an even more tradegdy. I'm waiting for the six o'clock news this evening, hopefully there will be more information. I can't belive shes not found. She's still in the water! The freezing cold water! She should not be there!
I will not be home for the funeral. We weren't best friends, but we were friends. We lost touch after high school. We only saw eachother once or twice in the mall in Grand Falls. Her husband was working as security there. He was her boyfriend, then later on a fiance at that time.
That's it for now. I hope they are found.

Finally Sunshine
The sun is blastin' through here today. It's about bloody time. We had freezing rain, then fog, then rain all day yesterday. Some of the snow is starting to melt. It's going to take more then a day of rain to get rid of it all thats for sure!
This was supposed to be my weekend off. I got called into work yesterday for a 4:30-10:30 shift. Two of the girls called in sick. One of the girls asked for the day off, so that just left me. If I had said no then Kim, my manager, would have to come back at 10 to close the store. She already worked all day. I wouldn't do that to her, whether she was pregnent or not. This week I picked up 11 hours. How friggin sweet is that? Last week I picked up 9 hours. I'm going to have a good check next pay day. I'll certainly need it too.
Sheldon and I had plans to go grocery shopping last night, since I worked night shifts Thursday and Friday. When sheldon got off work, he picked up half of them. I'm going to get the other half today. He picked up the cake that he wanted. I decorated it today. It's hiding in the bottom of the fridge. He won't look. I wrapped all the birthday presents yesterday.
I didn't get out of the mall until 10:28 pm. Which ment that I had missed the 10:25 bus. No doubt it came early. So I just sat and waited patiently in the bus shelter until the 11:25 bus came. During the wait time, there was a car across the parkinglot just sitting there with two people in it. I tried not to pay too much attention to it, as you know my imagination runs wild. Espically on a Saturday night, out in the dark all by myslef. Anyway, the car finally started then it made a turn and went further up the parkinglot up towards toys r us then came back down again. It kept stalling out a little, and they kept reving the gas. It made a few more circles like that. Then finally parked again for a few minutes. I started to get a little bit nervous. It was about 11:05 up to this point. As you can tell, I kept looking at my watch. hehe. My phone was beeping at me indicating that the battery was soon to die. I didn't want to call Sheldon back incase something did happen and my phone died just before. I kept picturing something would happen and if I called sheldon I may be locked in a trunk with a dead cell phone battery and that would be no good to me. LOL. I said enough of this, I stood outside of the bus shelter and by then the car had gone the other way down past Sears. I watched it until I couldn't see the tail lights anymore. A small sigh of relief came over me. About a minute later the car came back. It was a little more closer to me this time as it passed. I knew there were two people in the car the whole time, and I knew the person in the passenger side was a male. When the car passed me this time, I could see that the driver had really long hair. It went past me again, at this point I was wondering if the driver could be a girl. They went by one more time, and it was indeed a girl in the dirver seat. They boyfriend was trying to teach her how to drive a stick shift. Well what a fool I felt, and a hugh feeling of relief. Shortly after I figured out what was on the go, they parked and switched sides and then left. It was almost bus time now and there were more people coming out of the mall, starting vehicles, and walking out the parkinglot. Basicly, scaring the crap out of me since I was just waiting for something, almost anything to happen. Nothing did happen which I'm VERY greatful for. Then finally, the bus came. When I finally reached my destination, I walked to Irving, bought some milk, a Bucko, a sub, and a crossword, which I won a free ticket on. I have to pick that up today.
That's it for now. Gonna hop in the shower then get some grocery shopping done. Take care everyone.

Job Interview
I had a job interview today for a Canadian Credit something or other. It's basicly a call center of 14 people, they call debtors and tell them or 'remind' them I should say, that they owe money, and if they don't pay it then their services will be shut off or legal action will be taken against them. Yeah, a one hour long interview and I'm not going to bother with the job. The man who interviewed me was great! He gave me a lot of insite on what most employers are looking for. For example, he pointed out some things to me on my resume that's really irrelivant. I will have to fix my resume up later on. I felt that this was one of the best interviews that I've been on. He gave me a lot of information and insight. During the interviewing process, I used the word 'staggering'. Hahahaha. Anyways i'm not going to bother with the job. I'm going to keep looking for my "office job" and stick to the one I have now. My hours should pick up soon.....I hope.
When I got home from the interview today, I noticed that we have to shovel a path to the meter, so that we don't get another 'estimate' on our lightbill, and that we get an actual reading. There is no way that our light bill should be $142. Which is what it was last time. I mean, there's only two of us here. The washer and dryer is only used once a week for two loads, and the dryer nevers goes it's full cycle. The dish washer is only used once a week as well. The bastards are going by an estimate from the bill before that one, which was really high, but that was only because we had a crowd here for a while, which was expected. Sheldon and I will be at that later on. I'm going to start some now before I go to work. Sheldon is working right now. When he comes home I'll be gone to work, but as far as I know I'm off this weekend. Not a cent of money to me name though. Thats only due to the lousy 25 hours a week at work. There is good news though, I did pick up an extra 14 hours on this pay check coming. Wooohoooo. Oh yes, I have to remember to pick up candles for Sheldon today too, before I goes to work. I've got the decorations, we're going to pick up the cake tomorrow, I've got the gifts, (not wrapped yet though), and I've got a little plan that I'd like to get everyone in on for Sheldon's birthday. I will be calling everyone to tell ya when the time comes.
That's it for me today. I'm starving now. Take care everyone.

Horse Nipples
Sheldon and I just came home from downtown. We went down to pay the $3.19 balance on the oil bill from last week. The weather was pretty shitty at first. The wind was cold and it was snowing a little bit earlier. Anway, after we come out of Harvey's, we walked to Tim's, then continuted our walk down Water Street. The fuckin' bums out as usual. They make me so nervous, and I hate passing them, not giving them any money. I gave change before. I still would if I had in my pocket ready to go I guess. I didn't want to dig through my purse for it. We walked through George Street. That was quiet as a mouse, it was nice. We went back to Water Street and started to make our way to the Bridal Salon, all that was in there was prom dresses. The next stop was The Model Shop. Three floors in there. The first floor was tux's, the second prom dresses, the third was wedding dresses. I found a dress thats almost exactly what I was interested in. The lady said that this dress just came in and asked if I wanted to try it on. Of course I did! Wedding dresses are really heavy. It was beatiful. The back was like a corrset. The lady did it up for me and I couldn't move in the dress, which is perfect. I don't want my dress to be lose. The price was $1179. The dress is called Grace Ann. This was my first experience with wedding dresses. Next year I will look and buy a dress. I am in desprate need to lose a few pounds. I'm NOT going to be this big at my wedding. Fuck dat! Once I had the dress on, the ladies asked me did I want to go look in the big three sided mirror. Sheldon was down that way, he took off into a room there on the side. I couldn't believe what I was wearing. I didn't stand there too long, I went back in the dressing room, the lady undid the corresset in the back, then left me to getting undressed and dressed.
After all that, we mossied on to the bus stop across the street from The Spur. I called mom while we were waiting, no answer there. I decided to call the next best thing, my Nanna. She was home. She said she was in the middle of mixing up some 'horse nipples'. That's what I thought she said. I made her repeat it twice, and I still couldn't understand what she was saying, so I said, "are you saying horse nipples?", she laughed a bit and said "no, Pork Shintizel". Very good I said. Then the bus came. When we got home, I called Sheldons mom and told her about the experience also.
Teena is supposed to go to the model shop some time when we're both off. I'm looking forward to that for sho.
That's it for now. Take care all.

Afterward......
Tish came for the rent about a half hour ago. She was non too impressed that there wasn't a path shoveled for her to get to the door. The snow isn't past your ankles too far. She said that it was up to her knees and that she almost never came in. Maybe it's almost up to HER knees. Not anyone else's. She musn't worry though. After Survivor tonight, Sheldon and I will shovel a little path. I was just out there for about 10 minutes and cleared the door and a little of the walk-way. Geeeeesss woman, chill the fuck out.
I forgot to mention before, last night I was in the room watching the NTV Evening News, and the lucky numbers came up on the screen. I boot it to the living room to get the tv guide and I boot it back to the room, I just caught the first three digits of the last set of numbers, and they matched up to that point of what I had on the guide. I missed the last few numbers. So I called the station and gave them my name, phone number, and number on the guide. The lady said she didn't have the numbers in front of her, but she would forward the info to whoever and get back to me today. I never did get a call, so I guess I didn't win. Oh well. Better luck next time I guess.

So Tired
I figured it's time for an update. Plus I need something to do so I can put off making dough for a pizza for Survivor tonight. I hate trying to make dough, it never rises right for me and it's nothing but a mess trying to get it to form into dough. LOL
I'm getting a few more hours this week. I pick up a three hour shift yesterday, and a five hour one today. What a busy day I had yesterday! I got up with Sheldon to get the Route 5, he was going to work, I was headed downtown to go to Harvey's oil. Since the account is not in Sheldon's name we had to pre-pay for any oil that we wanted to order. That was fine with me, I haven't been downtown in a while. It was blowing a gail down there. I wasn't in the office no more then 5 minutes, and the snow started. Oh crap!, I thought. I was also gald I wore a sweater under my coat instead of a blouse. When sheldon did call the day before to order the oil, some contrary bitch from the company was accusing us of using oil from another company, just because it was June when we ordered some last. Sheldon told them we have only ever ordered from Harveys. Sure we didn't turn on any bloody heat until October 31st. That's when we started using the "June oil". Steve our landlord, was down sholveling out our driveway on Tuesday, and we told him that we wanted to order oil and we asked if he could shovel a path to the tank. He said he would. Sheldon and I had some errands to run, so we went on about our day, and didn't bother to look and see what kind of a path was shoveled. Anyway, back to yesterday. When I came up from downtown, I got off the bus at the Dominion where Janice used to work, since I was off I was going to have a few drinks for myself. I walked to the liqor store, which was a little further then I had thought, I just finished paying for my 3 bottles of Boones Berry wine, I got a call from work. I left the liqor store and went back to the Dominion to pick up some cheese for supper. We had macaronie and cheese, it was awesome. I walk home, getting splashed everywhere I could, and the snow and wind is blowing all around. Finally, I get home, before I walk in the driveway, I thought to have a look at the path that Steve shoveled. There was no path, just a bit of clearing in front of the tank, but there was no way to get to the tank. LOL So I thought to myslef, that i would have to shovel that when I gets home from work. I got home from work, called the landlord and told them to come get their rent. I crawled over the huge snow drift in the front yard and rolled down the otherside so I could end up infornt of the tank. I started shoveling my way out. The best part was, it only took me 20 minutes. I didn't get right to the ground, theres just now way, thats all ice now, I just took off what was on top. That was good enough. We got about 25cm of snow last night so, all that work was for nothing. Our oil did come today though. I saw the footprints when i came home from work. I checked the meter. I checked the mail box and there was a slip there saying that I owe an extra $3.19. On my next weekday off, which is Tuesday, I'm going to head on down again and pay it.
Well, this is enough procrastination, I should go on now and make me pizza.
Oh yeah, the landlords still haven't come to collect their rent. Big shockin' surprise there!
