The Concert
The concert was great! Rex's opening act was the singer Jeremy Fisher. When he got on the stage and said his name, he said it so fast I thought that he said Jimmy Fisher. He sang a few songs, then he was talking a little bit and at the end of his act, he was saying, this next song is a song that I wrote about, he paused for a moment, then said "High School". The place went up. That's when I realized he said his name was Jeremy Fisher. I also believe that at that moment, is when the whole stadium realized who he was as well. He sang one more song after that, and then it was a 15 intermission.
I was saying to Sheldon before we got to Mile 1 that when we were going to the Blue Rodeo concert that I felt like a child going to an adult concert, but tonight I felt like I was an adult going to a child's concert. Weird eh? There was a lot, a lot, a lot, of little kiddies there. I couldn't believe all the food that people were packing away. Holy shit. I was telling mom about it on the phone this morning, and she thought it was strange to have food there. Sheldon and I were sat on the end next to the stairs. Sometimes it was hard to get a good picture with people walking by all the time. I did, however, get a picture of some guy's arm as he was walking by as I was trying to take a picture. We were sat pretty close to the back and from the screen on the camera, the stage and lights look very blurry. We haven't uploaded the pics yet, but as soon as I'm updating here I'm going to do just that. Anyway, I was talking about food. This lady and her daughter was sitting next to Sheldon, all her and her daughter did all night was eat! Sheldon and I, we didn't mind at all getting up out of seats to let her pass, but I really didn't think that all the food was necessary. Espically at a concert, yes I can certainly understand loading up to see a movie. God knows I do that too often. They started out with a box of nachos, and a bag of pop corn. You know one of thos long bags that you get at the fair. Then she got up to get pizza for them, then the last thing was a box of fries with gravy. Of course with a refill of pepsi each time. I said to Sheldon that they should be featured on the next episode of "Honey, we're killing the kids".
Enough about that! Let's get back to 'Roudie Goudie'. I got a Rex t-shirt and a poster. I bought the shirt before we went in to our seats. I changed into the Rex shirt while we were in our seats too. Sheldon said to me, why don't you go to the bathroom. That was too bloody sensible I couldn't do that. hehe.
Rex came on the stage and everyone got crazy. The flashes from everyones camera alone was something else. Rex sang a lot of cover songs, and some of his own. He started off singing the song, "The boys are back in town" which I thought fitted them appropriately. When he sang "Wild Horses" by the Rolling Stones, he encouraged everyone to get up and dance. So Sheldon and I went down into the rink and had a dance. It was nice. Sheldon was some nervous. I was too a little bit. We didn't stay dancing to the whole song, because the way he played it at that point the guitar got really low and we thought it was over. I was thinking to myself, wow that was a short version. When we got back to our seats, the song continued on, I felt too embarrassed to go back down and finish dancing to the song. Sheldon too I think. So we laughed a little bit and just finished watching him sing it. That was the second slow song that we've ever danced to. Both times it was in the Mile 1 Stadium. LOL We need to get out more. haha or at least stay somewhere long enough for the ugly lights to come on, because they always play a few slow songs before that happens. :-)
For the encore, Rex came out and sang by himself, the Newfoundland song "Sam Haul" I think is what it's called. I know the song, I've heard it many, many times throughout my life. And I know that Lesley likes that song too. I had said to Sheldon that Lesley would have loved that. The next one he sang after that was "Magic Carpet Ride". Then that was it. The concert was over at 10 I think it was. Or at least going for 10. Sheldon and I got some Quizno's on the way home. It was about 11 when we got home. The Quizno's was delisious. It was the first time I've ever had it.
That's it for now. Take care everyone.

I'll Update I Spose
The party was a success. I was loaded! Everyone had a great time. They also had fun laughing at me. We all kept in touch with eachother as the week progressed, and all anyone could talk about was how funny I was. Yeah right, I was just making a fool of myself. Oh well, what ever works I spose. There was a nice turn out. Out of all the people I invited, only 3 didn't show. There was about 10 or 12 of us I spose. My friend Heather, from back home, and her boyfriend, Verd, came over too. They invited us to their place for drinks next weekend. We'll see how the work situation is. The following weekend of my party, Natasha had her own little party in celebration of her birthday. It was just a small gathering of us at her house first, where we played Natasha's version of fuck-up's. I love it. Sheldon came with me too. He was a little drunk too. I got off work early that day, came home, bought a half case each for me and Sheldon. I started to finish off the three beer left over from the weekend before. I was feeling pretty good after that. I was on the phone with Natasha getting directions to her house, and she said that I'd better not be 'shat' faced before I get to her house. I told her no, that I would be good. Sheldon and I took the bus to the Avalon mall, then got a cab from there to her home. The cab was only a $5.00 ride.
By the time everyone arrived at Natasha's, I was feeling pretty good. The girls and I went in on her gift. We just gave her $10 each of mall money I believe. I never did see it. Natasha was really suprised that we had got her something. Then I squeeked out "Really?" everyone died laughing. Sheldon said that it was the way I said it. I don't know. But I said to the girls, that when it's my birthday, I expect presents. They laughed even more. It was great!
Once we were all shat faced, we all went downtown. Charlette and Patricia's boyfriend, Coady, wern't drinking, so they took their cars and gave us all a ride downtown. We went to the Sundance. Boy has that place changed! Playing today's music, hardly any room to move. Just body to body. Light's and everything. The booze are a decent price too. We had a few dances, then went upstairs to listen to the live band. That's when we started with the body shots. It was 3ish in the morning when we left and headed for McDonalds. Oh lord, the big mac that would never end. It felt like it took me for ever to eat the damn thing. Of course Sheldon and I were home when we ate. Then we passed out in the bed. It was all good!
I just came off a 9 day stretch from work. I have to go back to work tomorrow, then off again Sunday. Work Monday, off Tuesday. I hate it when that happens. It seems to be happening more and more lately.
Tonight, Sheldon and I are off to the Rex Goudie concert! I can't wait! He managed to get some last minute tickets. He called me at work and told me, I couldn't believe it.
That's it for now, I must go and flake out in front of the fan.
Take care everyone.

Err'body in the house gettin' tipsy
So the month of June is finally here. I love Summer so much, you have no idea. It would be nice if we could get some Summer weather finally. Today was nice, but it wasn't hot hot. Or I should say too, too hot. LOL I bet Lesley and Sheldon are laughing now think about Sharon Snow I think it is.
I've got the house all cleaned. I'm having a party tonight. I asked a few girls over from work, and a few friends outside of work. Sheldon asked a few from his work too. Sheldon said that he knows of 4 that are coming for sure. We've got loads of chips, when Sheldon gets home from work, he's going to make a dip and a food platter.
Yesterday when I got off work at 5:30, I went to the liquor store at Dominion, picked up two bottles of wine, not the Boones Berry though, I couldn't find any. so I found a strawberry kind made in Newfoundland with 5 more percent alcohol then the Boones. I also got a flask of Vodka. I went into the grocery store and decided that I didn't want to mix orange juice with it this time. I am kinda getting sick of that, so I found Tropicana Twister. Its grapes and strawberries mixed together. A juice basicly. I can't even taste the vodka at all! When I got home, I mixed a drink for myself with 1 and a half shots in it, and planked my ass down on the back patio on Sheldons chair and drank it. This is my new favorite drink. I went to get groceries after that. Sheldon said that he could smell the booze off me, even after brushing my teeth, so he gave me a piece of gum to chew on while we were shopping. Once we got home, I sat back out on the patio, and called all the girls. Some I wasn't able to get a hold of. By the end of the night I drank almost 3 quarters of the bottle and was pretty drunk. I just started to get tipsy, it was 11:30ish I think, by then. We went on to bed then. Sheldon had to work today.
I watch my Moonstruck movie today that Sheldon bought for me. I love that movie. I think I'll go watch it again while I'm getting ready. I'm already drinking right now, of course. No one is surprised I'm sure. hehe
I'm glad that I've got everything cleaned and tidied. Anything that dosen't need to be out, is put away. I've got the fridge stocked and space made for other people's booze. I went over to Irving this afternoon to get two dozen beer. One for me and one for Sheldon. Alex helped me bring it over. Since he offered to help, I also picked up a bottle of Pepsi and a bottle of Diet Pepsi. I was so glad.
That's it for now. Take care everyone.
Cheers!
